We have demonstrated the "VPN chip" in the Fujitsu booth,
the Embedded Technology 2005
(Nov. 16-18, 2005, Yokohama Pacifico).
Our paper "500Mbps VPN on a chip with embedded Linux" presented in the Internet Conference 2005 (Oct. 27-28, 2005, Yamagami Hall, University of Tokyo) has received "The Best Paper Award" from the Program Committee. (The paper in Japanese).
Also in the demonstration session, we presented the "Comet Gate" prototype
box running 590Mbps IPsec ESP (AES-128 + HMAC-HD5) gateway.
Using a thin case that mounts two PMC boards, we have prototyped a small
network appliance case, the Comet PMC Dual Case. When mounting
two Comet PMC boards, it works as a dual DVIP converter.
When you mount one Comet PMC board and one commercial PrPMC
(Processor PMC) board, you can use it as a very slim PC with Comet
functionality.
