Comet i-NIC-1 |
The Comet i-NIC-1 is an intelligent NIC designed for protocol processing off-load. It is 2/3 size (20cm) PCI card mounts an assist hardware for pacsket processing, a control CPU, and a PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) standard connector. These components are connected by the internel PCI bus. The Comet i-NIC-1 supports many kinds of standard PMC NICs such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, IEEE1394, OC48c, ATM. The assist hardware implemented by a FPGA realizes queued DMA and IP checksum. The control CPU is SA110 233MHz. The host PCI is 64bit/33MHz and the internal PCI is 64bit/33MHz. The Comet i-NIC-1 is used for CometDVIP-1 and Comet Cluster systems.
