The CometDVIP-1 is the Comet i-NIC-1 with the PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) mounting an IEEE1394 and a Fast Ethernet interface. By installing the CometDVIP-1 to a PC, bi-directional, DV transmission system using the Internet is easily constructed. Since whole DVIP processing is performed in the CometDVIP-1, a high performance PC is not necessary.
CometDVIP-1 can be used not only DVIP but also Comet Delay by replacing the PMC card with a dual Gigabit Ethernet PMC card.
